  1. Hi, Page Siderbar 1 through Sidebar 10 are blank when selected. Only Default Sidebar output content. Please, how can I go about it to mimic the demo sidebar?

  2. Hi, have you added widgets into the sidebars through appearance > widgets? If you have and it isn’t working, could you send me a support message with the issue.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Added widgets and problem solved. Thank you.

  4. One more thing. Please is there a way I can make an image widget circle instead of square?

    ReplyDelete
  5. There isn’t an option within the theme to make the about widget image appear circular. However, a small piece of CSS should be able to do that. If you send me a support message I can reply to that with the piece of code.

  6. How is the big slider implemented in the demo? Is it a 3rd party plugin, or a built-in function of the theme? Thank you.

    ReplyDelete
  7. The slideshow is custom and built into the theme.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Thanks for answering. How about the posts…In the demo I see all the posts on the home page are shown as excerpts. Does changing it in wordpress settings to “full text” affect it?

    ReplyDelete
  9. No, only the excerpt for the post will be shown in the blog post list.

  10. hi- Is this theme compatible with visual composer? Also is is a simple change to have grids of posts as well as page grids on the home page? (not just posts?)

    ReplyDelete
  11. Hi, the theme doesn’t use visual composer, no. Could you explain further what you mean with the page grids. If you mean can you have pages appear within the blog post list, no that isn’t possible.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Hi following on from the comment by smoo409, ‘will’ it work with Visual Composer? Also is it WPML compatible?

    ReplyDelete
  13. Hi, it won’t work with Visual Composer, no. It hasn’t been designed with the use of that plugin in mind. It is translatable though, and is compatible with WPML.

  14. Hey, I recommended this theme for a client and noticed that none of the images are being sized and it’s just using the full-size images for everything, even the thumbnails on the listings. Is there any chance of getting this updated?

Even if you just put ‘sizes’ after the thumbnails it’d make a big difference to those not adding pre-edited content.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Hi, not setting image sizes was something I did on purpose. I wanted the theme to work with any image size or ratio that a user might upload. It wouldn’t be difficult to modify the file to include an image size though. If you send me a support message I can explain what you would need to do.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Hello, I’ve already fixed it for the site I just want to make sure updates won’t break it! Thanks for the offer though.

Images will still keep their ratio and sizes, It’ll just generate a smaller version for the thumbnails as when there’s a listing of 5 articles each with a thumbnail at the uploaded resolution of eg. 2000×4000 the loading will take quite a while. If you used the sizes function it could scale them down to eg 500×1000 and they’d look the same/be the same ratio but the page would load much faster.

  17. Okay, glad you got it sorted on your site. To make sure future updates to the theme don’t affect what you’ve put in place, it would be best to create a child theme. I’ll take a look and see what I can do with image sizes.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Can the slider be removed? how?
I would like the theme without the slider.

    ReplyDelete
  19. The slideshow on the home page is completely optional. It only appears if a tick box is checked.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Hi, I bought your template. Could you please indicate how to translate the theme in French and Russian? Thank you in advance. Regards,

    ReplyDelete
  21. Hi, you should be able to change the site language in settings > general.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Hi, is it possible to hide the top menu bar (“Typt to Search” line and “GRACE” logo line) on Smartphone screen resolution size? It wastes too much space on small size screen.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Hi, there is an option to hide the top bar, but that would affect both desktop and mobile. You could hide the top bar on only mobile using a small bit of CSS in the customizer.

    ReplyDelete
  24. How can you change the list of posts on the homepage in grid of 2 columns? or if i wanted to add a slider on my homepage? I dont see any options in my custom options..

    ReplyDelete
  25. You will need to create a page and select the “Home page” template. Doing that will bring up a series of tabs. From those tabs you can create the slide show and change the layout of the post list to a grid.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Hello, how can we add other social icons/links such as github to the top social icon header?

    ReplyDelete
  27. Hi, the social icons that are within the theme are set within the customizer file. You would need to modify the code slightly to add in further icons. If you want to, send me a support message and I can help you further.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I just bought this theme to my client, and documentation was very useful, but there’s a problem which is not covered anywhere. Their mobile version displays all sidebar items after the posts, where your demo shows only posts.

    ReplyDelete
  29. If the sidebar is shown, it will show all items within the sidebar on desktop and mobile. Are you looking to hide the sidebar? You should have an option to do that.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Hey, thanks for such a quick response. I realised the problem was that you have few different examples on your website So when i was looking at your one it was the one without the sidebar. My bad.

Now im stuck on banners. How did you insert categories and newsletter between featured content and blog posts?

Also few suggestions if you will update it in the future:

    1) When creating a video post, featured image should be taken from that iframe code. Cause now you have to printscreen video to add featured image.

    2) Featured content is a bit tricky to create, like you can have slideshow or banner, but on your website it shows the posts in that area. Is it something I am missing how to insert posts there or do I have to create title, image and content for every single slideshow? Would love an option where you could just tick the posts you like to be featured and they would come as a top or something like “use this post as a banner” option.

P.S. When i was looking for minimal theme i couldnt find anything simple and minimal as your theme is. Great work!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Hi,

If you send me a support message I can better answer your question about the banners. I’m not too sure which part you’re referring to.

    1) This is something I could look at, not sure how difficult that is to do though.

    2) You should have the option to either create a custom slide show or use your latest blog posts. If you choose the posts option, it should bring through the featured image and content onto the slide.
