    Your theme looks great and I got 2 questions if you don’t mind:


    1.) Is the theme already fully marketplace compatible? I noticed the “coming soon” in the preview section – is this only for the preview or for the integration itself?


    2.) If the theme is already fully compatible and can integrate into WC Vendors, does the Theme also integrate with the free version of WC Vendors or only with the Pro version?

    thanks for your interest in Rigid theme.


    1. Yes, the theme is fully compatible with WC Marketplace and WC Vendors / WC Vendors PRO. The “coming soon” is just for the Marketplace demo. We were concentrated more on the theme functionality and compatibility. It’s just the demo that’s not ready yet.


    2. The theme was tested and integrated with both the free and the PRO versions.


    However, if it must be compared to the free version of WC Vendors (not PRO), we believe WC Marketplace is the better plugin (may be just a matter of personal taste and preference).

    Thanks so much for your quick response – just a follow-up question if you allow: I only intend to test WC Vendors with the free version and was considering changing to the Pro if it works well. Do you prefer WC Marketplace in general over WC Vendors or only over the free version.

    Hi anderjoe,


    Actually, it’s really a matter of personal preference. WC Marketplace (free) is in my opinion better than WC Vendors (free).


    The free version of WC Marketplace can’t be compared to WCV PRO!


    I just think it’s the better plugin, because:


    1. Modularity – you only install and pay the modules you need (e.g. front end manager). It’s cheaper and also lighter this way.


    Basically with WCV PRO you pay $140 per year and get everything, but actually you won’t use everything. WCMP Front end manager costs $80 and that’s basically everything you need from the paid add-ons. Everything else have free alternatives in wordpress.org


    2. A bit better code architecture.


    3. Easier to modify without custom templates


    4. More control on separate shops look and feel (header styles, colors, overal layout etc.). Also, better integration inside default woocommerce pages – e.g. – both plugins rely on the default shop page and injects it’s code there, but WCMP is doing it better, especially the free version.


    However, if you plan to further extent the marketplace functionality with custom built features, WCV PRO might be the better option for really complex development.

    1 Have the theme some “Custom Product Search”.


    if yes…


    1.1 is posible integrated on custom places like “on header” and some Slideshow.


    if no…

    I had a question about your theme,


    I have a community based classifieds site, featuring a forum and classifieds site (for sale, jobs, directory ext), which im thinking of updating in the future, I would also like to add some new features expanding on the currant site.


    I’m using a theme called classipress and bbrpess with some customisation.


    I was wondering if your theme is capable of creating a site like this or would it need a lot of custom work ?

    thanks for your interest in Rigid theme.


    Classified adds are something that require a special theme or a plugin. While our theme don’t have such functionality, it certainly can work with the dediacted CA plugins available (both free and paid).


    As for the bbPress integration – we have one of the best integrations of bbPress forums available and we are even using the same theme in our site and support forum.


    Basically, Rigid is capable of a lot more than just shop management and you can build any site with it and some additional plugins.

    Hi, how scalable is the Rigid theme? Some themes work at an optimum with a smaller marketplace (about 200 vendors). After that they start to slow down or have problems. I understand that there are several factors that affect scalability. But just in terms of your theme’s composition, can it adjust comfortably if a site scales up to thousands of vendors and maybe millions of visitors?

    Hi Sim,


    yes, there are many factors involved, but none of them is actually theme related.


    It would only depend on your server quality, properly set caching, Content Delivery Networc etc.


    On a shared hosting with 1024 RAM and 2 core CPU it would be a disaster with any theme.


    For a big marketplace, you’d definitely need at least a good quality managed VPS or dedicated server.


    Other than that – the theme itself is greatly optimized and doesn’t cause any lag or slow down, no matter how many users you have.
